Wool Throws:

Why choose a wool throw blanket?  Wool is nature’s performance fiber providing you with the best environment for natural all round comfort and well-being.  Wool is soft and fine and has the unique ability to breathe which helps to keep you warm when it is cold and cool when it is hot – wool’s vapor management properties result in increased deep sleep, more consistent skin temperatures, and a more restful sleeping environment.  A merino wool throw adds a colorful touch of comfort and warmth to just about any corner of your home.

The company was founded in 1891 by Gennaro Sferra, who started the company by touring exclusive American resorts from Maine to Palm Beach, selling Venetian lace collars and cuffs to the wealthy patrons he found there.  After noting the high demand for hand embroidered linens among these leading families, he opened a factory in Venice, Italy in 1905 providing top quality linens, hand made lace and exquisite embroidery to fine linen devotees of the day.  His legacy has been handed on to his sons, Enrico and Albert.
